Today, I am back with stocking stuffers!!

Sorry it’s been so long! I’ve got some catching up to do it seems, but those will come later. I received an email from Blush this morning about Beauty Grab Bags. I think they also did this for Cyber Monday… but for the Holiday stocking stuffers, there are two bags you can choose from: Let It Glow or Merry Makeover.  I’m not quite sure what will be inside, but the previous ones seemed to include items that came in past Blush Beauty Mystery Boxes. I grabbed both bags (each bag is $20 for $100 worth of products!) and used a coupon. Anyways enjoy!

Will you be grabbing a bag? Have you already gotten one?

Happy Friday!

Today, I am preparing for the dry weather (Perlier Honey Body Butter)…

It’s getting cold and that means that it’s more important now to have a good body cream to lock in the moisture of the skin! I was excited to have been sent Perlier’s Imperial Honey Body Butter complimentary of iFabbo (@PerlierUSA #PerlierOnHSN). This is the second Perlier Product that I’ve tried (I’ve previously tried a body scrub).

The jar looks small, but it’s definitely densely packed. The body butter is formulated with the honey of black bees and royal jelly to nourish the skin with moisture. It’s definitely got a whipped butter feel (imagining opening a tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! … haha). The smell is a bit too sticky and sweet for me but it’s worth it mostly because a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth.

Today, I am busy!

I’ve got a busy day ahead of me today! Lunches, retirement/send-off parties, work work work! 🙂 Busy days are always more rewarding than bored days. Is today a busy school/work/life day for you, also? I was so happy to have won a bracelet giveaway hosted by Jen over at Dragonfly Reviews (thanks for hosting!!). She was sweet enough to add some make up and Julep nail polishes into the bag!

I actually saw these Hello Kitty eyeliners on Sephora and had been wanting to buy them (I LOVE HELLO KITTY) .. but now I don’t have to! YAY! Have you tried any of the below products? What do you think you’d like? Okay, until next time!

as always,
Jarkie

Today, I share with you my Labor Day beauty haul…

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Anything exciting happen? This weekend was packed with work stuff, application stuff, and social stuff. Too much stuff. I also bawled away at one of the endings of an Asian TV drama (Lan Ling Wang) that I have been following. It was not the ending I had been hoping for. *sigh* I went on an impromptu Labor Day weekend shopping spree this weekend. The trip started out in TJ Maxx. However, a fire alarm forced me to abandon my shopping cart of goodies. We then retreated to ZARA. When I came back to TJ Maxx, my abandoned shopping cart was still there where I had left it. It was a sign. It was meant to be. So I bought everything in in.

Going from Left to Right –
Reuniting with my once abandoned shopping cart.
I’m loving my new sneaks 🙂

Today, I am soaking in [imaginary] hot springs! (Perlier Volcanic Thermo Scrub Review)

I was SO EXCITED to have been sent the Perlier Volcanic Thermo Scrub complimentary of iFabbo. 🙂 #PerlierOnHSN

I’ve actually been searching for a good body scrub. However, as I’ve spent too much money on random beauty products (those shopping trips will be documented in upcoming blog posts so stay tuned 🙂 teehee) and subscription boxes, I had been holding off on buying one. After all, a good soap bar should be sufficient, right? Have you tried this product before? Is there a scrub that you love? Please share below! 🙂

Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub
$25.00 + S&H ($6.21)
6.7 fl oz
What is it?
A thermal scrub with micronutrients extracted from volcanic rocks. According to the product descriptions and HSN, it contains hot water from the hot spring concession located in the municipality of Abana Terme, helps to create a more youthful appearance for your skin (dull-looking skin, GOOD BYE!), is rich in mineral salts, contains minerals of different sizes for both rejuvenating and smoothing actions.

Am I spoiled? Apparenty, yes.

So how did it go? As lovely as I imagined! I was a bit disappointed when I received my previous iFabbo product (mostly because I don’t have wrinkles, so I couldn’t really provide an objective review). However, this product made up for the previous disappointment. To start with, the packaging is a plastic jar. I guess if you drop the product, you won’t have glass breaking. Upon opening, a light aqua scent flows through your nostrils, a very nice spa-like smell, for sure!

That is such a pretty color, reminds me of a lovely beach

The texture of the product is not too watery and not too dense.. just the right amount. When I tried to smooth it/massage it onto my skin with just my bare hands, it was a little difficult. I feel like this is a product that does not fit the description of “a little goes a long way.” However, I later tried using my scrubbing mitt (I purchased mine at T.J. Maxx), and it made it significantly easier to use this scrub. The scent is so lovely and the best part is that it’s a very light scent. Just enough to make you feel relaxed (like you’re chilling at a luxurious spa), but not enough to overpower you and make you feel uncomfortable. 🙂 I felt squeaky clean afterwards and my skin has felt a little softer after a couple of uses. I’m excited to continue to use this product. I will be sad when I am done with it, but luckily, it’s not too expensive.

What it looks like smoothed on the skin. There are little beads (of apparently mineral salts) that you massage into the skin. Lovely scrub!

I’m content and satisfied.

Online Shopping and the “Kate Middleton Effect”

Image

Yesterday, after the British Monarchy released this photo of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their totally adorable newborn baby, the dress she was wearing in the photo sold out in two hours. Isn’t that crazy? Customers are even calling the maternity brand and begging them to check their stock again and again to see if all the dresses are really gone. (I’m covering this story today, and I’m flabbergasted by it, so I thought I’d pop by to share.)

For all of you out there who want this dress (and I don’t blame you, it’s beautiful!), they will be available again on September 16th.

Today, I ask what would you buy if someone gave you money?

What arrived in my inbox this morning :-)

What arrived in my inbox this morning 🙂

What arrived in my inbox this morning :-)I signed up to be a part of the McCormick Consumer Testing Panel a while ago. They apparently let you sample food/drinks at home if you’re lucky. You can also participate in surveys and get coupons and such. A couple of weeks ago, they asked me to fill out a survey and I had completely forgotten about it until today!! I opened my inbox this morning to find that I had received a $25 gift card to Amazon.com. What a lovely hump day (It’s Wednesday!!) surprise!

So now I’m wondering what I should use that money towards… so what should I get? What would you get? Please do share anything below! Feel free to post links to things you like. Hehehe, it can be anything! Electronics, food, clothing, accessories, games, beauty products! 🙂
